Group Rules from the Admins
Be Kind and Courteous. Stand up for the little guy
We're all in this together to create a welcoming environment. Let's treat everyone with respect. Healthy debates are natural, but kindness is required. Free speech isn't foul speech. Repeated Ridicule and insults and swearing at individuals is disallowed.
No Bullying. Nothing salacious or snarky or deliberately derogatory.
Make sure everyone feels safe. Bullying of any kind isn't allowed, and degrading comments about things like race, religion, culture, sexual orientation, gender or identity will not be tolerated. Sure there is room for humour, but just be careful that it isn't made at somebody else's expense.
Respect Everyone's Privacy. Avoid harsh criticism.
Being part of this group requires mutual trust. Authentic, expressive discussions make groups great, but may also be sensitive and private. This group is public so what's shared should be positive. A little 'rough-housing' in conversation tone is fine, but remember Rules 1 & 2.
Comment courteously about narrowcasters within and beyond ANNRO
While any radio broadcast operation is fair game for FAIR comment, all critiques about them should be constructive and courteous. The group aims to support all narrowcasters, without fear or favour. Respect the right of reply, especially when others don't have it. Avoid derogatory personal comments
Covenant for members conduct toward each other
Group members agree not to register complaints to ACMA about another's:
hoarding, signal strength/quality, category of service content. Do not post adverse analysis or stories that denigrate somebody else's station programs. There is a fine line between true & fair comment VS defamation or slander.
